The Roaring Twenties

Living in the 1920's would be a lot more difficult than today.

I think I would enjoy living in the present day much more than in the 20's. Today technology is everywhere. We are filled with technology in every day use. I also enjoy are dress styles that we have today much more than in the 1920's.

Even though, I do think it would be very exciting to live back in the 1920's. They seemed to always have fun. People were always dancing and listening to jazz music. From changing their dress and hair styles, it would be difficult to keep up.

With all I have learned about the Roaring Twenties, I defiantly like living in the present day. I wouldn't want to change a thing.

Prom Night:)

What was your Prom night like?

Every girl dreams of the perfect prom night. Starting with the perfect dress to your french-tipped toes. Most girls begin preparing for their prom night a month or two before.

My prom experience began finding the perfect dress and shoes. Then, I bought matching jewelery. There were several appointments that needed to be made too. First, I had to make one for my toe nails and finger nails, then my hair appointment, and of course dinner reservations.

My night started off at 1:30. I was first off to get my hair rolled up. I went back at 4:45 to get in fixed up. I then rushed off to Lyon College to take a million pictures with all my friends. With all my friends, we headed to Josies to eat a delicious dinner. With a party for 25, we had the best time. We couldn't stop laughing about old memories and talking about what the night was going to bring.

After dinner, it was prom time. Off to the dance we went. We danced and danced all night and took a million more pictures.

After prom, my whole group of friends built a bonfire. We continued our dance party while just having a good time together. We always have fun being together. After all, high school is about making memories with your best friends.

Prom was a great time for me. I enjoyed being in a big group with all my friends. We captured every moment of the night.

The Lucky One- Book Review

Nicholas Spark's book, The Lucky One, was a great book.

He lets the reader really feel how strong the power of love is. When reading this book, you can relate each character to someone in your life.

The main character, Thibault, decided to find out who was in the picture he found in Iraq. He took a leap of faith and went to North Carolina to figure out why this picture had brought him so much fortune. Since he had this picture in his possession, nothing but good luck has been brought on him. He figured out that the women in the picture was not only his good luck, but the women he loved.

This book was really good and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a romantic love story. While reading this good, you will feel every emotion. You will come to realize that nothing is impossible and anything can happen.

Nature's First Green Is Gold

Every year when Spring rolls around, we know it's getting closer to summer. With only a few months left in school, I begin thinking about the great times I will have this summer.

When it's Spring time, my allergies begin to bother me. When I see all the pollen on the cars and houses, I know it's back again. I began to get bad migraines and sneeze all day long.

Last week, we began to take nature walks at school. We noticed all the trees changing colors. At the tops of the trees there was gold and the leaves are beginning to come back. Soon, they will change to many different colors. Next, we noticed the flowers. They are beginning to bloom and turn into beautiful colors.

Despite my allergies, I love Spring time. It's a beautiful time of year! I love seeing all the trees and flowers changing colors. The sun brightening and warming up the day is another part of Spring I love. With Spring hear, I know summer is near.

What gold do you see in nature during Spring?
